Munster is the southernmost province of Ireland, comprising the counties of Clare, Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary and Waterford.

While it is the largest province by geography it is second in population next to Leinster.

The economy of the region is centred around Cork and Limerick. Cork is the largest of Ireland’s counties with population of a little over 420,000 - with about 127,000 living in Cork City.

Besides agriculture and forestry, Cork's economy also includes tourism, engineering, chemical production, food production, brewing and shipping.

Similarly limerick also is the home to a varied economy that includes engineering, aluminium production, general electronics, automotive parts and tourism.
